    These are delightful! I do love bakewell but have been trying to watch my weight. The jam in them is devine and with real flaked almonds added, you don’t feel like you are missing out on the real thing. I had saved myself for a pack of these later on on the day they arrived and realised I couldn’t manage them all. Despite their size, they are really filling and an added bonus is the amount of fibre they contain which is something I’m having to eat more of. Definitely buying more!

    Oh my goodness! So, when I ordered these I knew that I was buying something that would be a low calorie treat, so my expectations were low. I just figured that hey, if it helped curb my sugar cravings then I would be happy. But from the minute I opened the box, I realised that this was no ordinary second rate diet product. And no, I was not disappointed. The flavours are beautiful, the ratio of cake to filling makes them deliciously sweet and moist (apologies for those who hate that word, but thats what they are!) I love how they are presented in cute little tubs, I can keep them in the fridge so I’m not rushing to get through them, and one tub is plenty to feel like I’m getting a real treat without the guilt! So far I’ve tried this flavour and the blueberry and vanilla… both are amazing and I’m excited to try the rest! Will definitely be ordering again 🙂

    This is the first time I have bought from the Skinny Bakery. I am currently on quite a strict diet to strip body fat in an attempt to leave lean muscle. The main issue I have is I have is that I have a sweet tooth so bought a selection of donuts and pearls so I could eat something thing sweet while staying in a calorie defecit.     Wow! Absolutely amazing, before losing weight I ate so many cherry Bakewells with cream on, I was gutted when I thought I couldn’t have them anymore. Then I found these and they are seriously amazing, taste just like cherry Bakewells but they fit in with my calorie controlled diet.     Anyone will tell you it’s the simple classics, done well, that create the best flavour sensations & these pearls are the embodiment of this concept.
    Bakewell by name but BakeEXCELLENT by nature, the very first thing that hits you is the wonderful fragrance of the frangipane It gets your tastebuds tingling, and this is amplified when you take the first bite of the pillowy soft sponge. As soon as it hits your tongue your senses are flooded with the classic, delicate & yet strong taste of sweet almond frangipane.
    The cherry jam releases its flavour moments after the sponge, adding to its gentle softness. It has just the right balance of sweetness & works in a harmonious balance with the frosting.
    Just when you think this dinky little delight can’t get any better, you’re hit with the most wonderful almond butter frosting! It has a glorious natural & slightly bitter taste which sits perfectly within the Pearl, add in a subtle texture from the skin of the almond & it’s a nothing short of delectable.
